Denise visited the Hawaiian Islands many times during the years she resided in Alaska. It became a welcome retreat from the winters, enjoying the beauty and mystical charms of Kauai and the Big Island.
She learned much of her jewelry making skills while living on Kauai, studying with master goldsmith, Marc Gregg. It was during this time that she discovered her innate ability to sculpt the wax.
